Illinois Wesleyan University Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter

Illinois Wesleyan’s campus chapter is a student-led, student-initiated organization that partners with the local Habitat affiliate, McLean County, to fulfill the four functions of a campus chapter. The four functions of a campus chapter are: building, fundraising, advocating and educating. Illinois Wesleyan Habitat for Humanity’s chapter also partners with Illinois State University as they work together to build a home for a local family in need and raise $40,000 a year through fundraising events. Members build every Saturday morning from 8am-12pm during the academic school year and attend and participate in weekly meetings. Students enjoy volunteering their time to better their community.

WalkIn-BikeOut Repairs/Tune-Ups (West Bloomington Revitalization Project)

Members of WIBO will make no charge repairs on bikes at the ISLWE. We can inflate tires, adjust brakes, adjust shifters, oil chains, replace tires/tubes etc. There will be no charge for this service. We will have a variety of tubes in common sizes with us to use. There will be no charge for that either. Basically we want to help kids, parents and other adults to be ready for the bike riding season. This will be on a first come basis.

We Care Twin Cities Half Marathon

Fleet Feet’s We Care Twin Cities Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile race in the Twin Cities of Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. The race takes place on September 27, 2014 and benefits the Ecology Action Center.

In addition to the 13.1 mile race, We Care Twin Cities also has a 10K, a 5K, and a half mile Little Jewels Kids Fun Run.
